Alain Patrick Hanash is a London-based technology entrepreneur and CEO of Planna.ai, where he has led a six-year AI-driven transformation of the property-technology platform. Over the past 35-plus years, has been a serial entrepreneur and has held CEO and CTO roles across multiple ventures — from an AI-powered hyperlocal content platform to a pioneering SaaS online-community business he founded in 1998, raised $17M for, and scaled to serve Fortune 500 enterprises and U.S. federal agencies.
His work sits at the frontier of applied AI — Large Language Models, computer vision, agentic AI, and the scalable cloud platforms that run them. At Planna, he has architected enterprise AI systems for leading UK banking and insurance clients, fusing LLMs, image segmentation, and aerial imagery analysis to turn geospatial data into decision-ready intelligence. He is a named inventor on a patent covering the application of large language models, image segmentation, and aerial imagery analysis — the technical foundation of much of Planna's enterprise platform.
Alain holds an MS in Computer Science from Cornell University and a BS in Biology from American University. Earlier in his career, he specialized in Performance Management at Ernst & Young, helping to build the practice and advising Fortune 500 clients across consumer goods, financial services, and insurance. He is a former advisory board member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, and his work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, CNN, and Wired. He has lived and worked across New York, Washington, D.C., Paris, London, and Dubai, and is fluent in English and French with working proficiency in Arabic.
